Contraindications for Procedure

• Can NOT be Pregnant/Nursing

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must not consume alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to appointment

• Must not sweat 24 hours before appointment and 10-14 days after appointment

• Can not be undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiation full treatments ~ prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe to proceed

• Can not have active dermatologic disorders, i.e. rosacea, eczema, psoriasis in area to be treated

• Eyelash extensions must be removed prior to eyeliner

• Must not be sick with flu/fever.

• Can not have active herpes anywhere on the face.

• Must not be actively using any products with retinols, glycolic acid, or chemical or physical exfoliants on the brow area

Require Waiting Periods

•COVID-19 vaccine- 2 weeks after second dose

• Blood Thinners (Aspirin, fish oil/omega 3, turmeric ginger, vitamin e, alcohol, caffeine)

• Lasik or Cataract Surgery ~ 1 month prior and wait 3 months post-op

• Latisse or any other eyelash enhancement products including mascara~ 2 weeks off for eyeliner 

• Botox or Disport ~ 2 weeks waiting time after and before appointment

• Fillers in area to be treated(i.e. Juvaderm, Silk, Voluma, Sculptra, etc.)  ~ 2 weeks

• Fat transfer in lips ~ wait 1 month for swelling to subside

• Accutane full dose ~ 1 year (half-dose or prophylactic dose needs medical clearance)

• Suntanned skin ~ 1 month

• Retinols, glycolic acid (A.H.A), Vitamin C peels ~ 4 weeks

• Lasers ~ 8 weeks

• IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) ~ 1 week

• Shingles shot ~ 1 month      

• Laser that removed old permanent makeup ~ 8 weeks

Require Medical Clearance/Pre-Medication

• Eye Diseases (i.e. Glaucoma or Graves’ Disease) ~ medical clearance

• Glaucoma eyedrops ~ medical clearance

• Heart valves, stents, pacemakers, rheumatic fever ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Organ transplants ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Joint replacements ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Insulin dependent diabetics ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Fever blister history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Shingles history ~ medical clearance and pre-medication, even with immunization

• Seizures ~ medical clearance

• Blood thinners, steroids ~ medical clearance  

• Lupus/ Autoimmune Disease ~ medical clearance and pre-medication

• Blepharitits ~ medical clearance
